More than $2 million judgment for Affinity nurse in defamation case

An Affinity Medical Center nurse was awarded more than $2 million in a defamation trial in Stark County Common Pleas Court.

In his opening remarks, Attorney Brian Zimmerman told jurors that the hospital’s actions were meant to send a message to union supporters and damaged nurse Ann Wayt’s reputation in the industry.
